Smithville Digital Announces Expansion of Indiana Digital Gateway

ELLETTSVILLE, Indiana The Board of Directors of Smithville Digital, LLC has approved the expansion of the Indiana Digital Gateway to include the West Gate @ Crane Technology Park currently under development near the Daviess/Martin County line.
The High Speed Optical network will link the new West Gate @ Crane Technology Park to Bloomington, Monroe County and Indianapolis. The Indiana Digital Gateway includes connectivity to a Global data network. Other services that will be available include:
- Internet connectivity with speeds up to one Gigabit will be available via fiber optic cable.
- Robust Internet network utilizes Smithville's redundant (dual) Network Operation Centers and multiple national carriers to the Internet.
- Direct Smithville owned facilities available for “Managed” fiber optic connectivity from Crane to Bloomington, Indianapolis, and Columbus.
- Direct Smithville owned facilities available for “Dark Fiber” optic connectivity from Crane to Bloomington, Indianapolis, and Columbus.
- Ability to establish Managed or Dark Fiber connectivity from Crane to anywhere in the US and abroad.
- Network Consultants and Network Engineers available to design, implement and maintain company networks.
- High speed Ethernet Wide Area Networks (WAN's) available to connect buildings throughout Crane Tech Park.
According to Cullen McCarty, President of Smithville Digital, the investment in the expansion of the Digital Gateway to the West Gate @ Crane Technology Park will be approximately $100,000. Smithville Digital will begin the build out and will have fiber available to companies in the Crane Technology Park in 90 days.
